Terms of Service

Effective and last updated: 21 September 2026

In short

  • TurnDesk is an appointment booking service for clinics: a WhatsApp booking assistant and a dashboard.
  • The clinic is responsible for its patients, its schedule and the medical care it gives. TurnDesk only handles bookings.
  • TurnDesk is not for medical emergencies.
  • The clinic’s data belongs to the clinic, and we handle it as our Privacy Policy describes.
  • Questions: hello@turndesk.live.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to the TurnDesk service (“TurnDesk”, “we”, “us”): the WhatsApp booking assistant, the clinic dashboard at app.turndesk.live, and this website. They are an agreement between TurnDesk and the clinic that uses the service (“the clinic”, “you”).

By using TurnDesk, the clinic agrees to these terms. The person who accepts them for a clinic confirms that they are allowed to do so on the clinic’s behalf. If the clinic and TurnDesk sign a separate written agreement, that agreement takes priority where the two differ.

Patients who message a clinic through TurnDesk are the clinic’s patients. Their use of WhatsApp is covered by WhatsApp’s own terms, and how their information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. The service

TurnDesk lets a clinic:

  • take appointment bookings on its WhatsApp Business number, where patients can book, check, reschedule and cancel appointments and receive confirmations;
  • set its doctors, working hours, exceptions, blocked times and booking rules, which decide the times patients are offered;
  • see and manage its appointments in the dashboard, with owner, admin and staff roles.

Features may be added, changed or removed over time (see section 10). The service is provided as it exists at the time you use it.

3. Accounts

  • Each clinic has an owner, who can have admin and staff accounts for the clinic’s team.
  • The clinic is responsible for who it gives accounts to, for the actions taken through its accounts, and for removing access when someone leaves.
  • Each person must keep their password confidential and must not share their account.
  • If you think an account has been used without permission, tell us straight away at hello@turndesk.live.

4. The clinic’s responsibilities

The clinic agrees to:

  • use TurnDesk only for its own appointments and in line with the laws that apply to it, including data protection law;
  • have a lawful basis to handle its patients’ information and to message them about appointments, and tell patients about this where the law requires;
  • keep its clinic details, doctors, hours and booking rules accurate, because they decide what patients are offered;
  • honour the appointments that TurnDesk confirms in line with the clinic’s own settings, or contact the patients concerned if it cannot;
  • follow Meta’s WhatsApp Business terms and policies for its WhatsApp Business account.

5. Not medical advice, and not for emergencies

TurnDesk handles appointment bookings only. It does not give medical advice, does not assess symptoms and does not take part in any decision about care. All medical care, and all communication about it, is the responsibility of the clinic and its doctors.

TurnDesk must not be used for medical emergencies. The clinic should make sure its patients know how to get urgent help without relying on a WhatsApp booking.

6. WhatsApp and other services

TurnDesk sends and receives WhatsApp messages through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform, and runs on the hosting and database providers listed in our Privacy Policy. The clinic’s WhatsApp Business account is also subject to Meta’s own terms and policies.

We do not control WhatsApp or these providers. If one of them is unavailable, limits a number, or changes how its service works, parts of TurnDesk may not work until it is resolved.

7. Acceptable use

The clinic and its team must not:

  • use TurnDesk to send messages that are unlawful, misleading, or unrelated to the clinic’s appointments;
  • try to access another clinic’s data, or any part of the service they are not permitted to use;
  • try to break, overload, or get around the security of the service;
  • copy, resell or sublicense the service, or use it to build a competing service.

8. Data

  • The clinic’s information, including its patients’ information and appointment records, belongs to the clinic.
  • We use it only to provide TurnDesk to that clinic, as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
  • We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
  • The clinic owner can ask us to export or delete the clinic’s information at any time by writing to hello@turndesk.live.

9. Fees

Any fees for TurnDesk, and how they are paid, are agreed with the clinic in writing before they apply. We do not charge a clinic anything it has not agreed to.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep TurnDesk available and reliable, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. We may need to pause the service for maintenance or to fix problems.

We may improve or change TurnDesk over time. If we plan to remove something a clinic relies on, we will tell the clinic in advance where we reasonably can.

11. Ending the service

  • A clinic can stop using TurnDesk at any time by writing to hello@turndesk.live from the owner’s email address.
  • We may suspend or end a clinic’s access if it seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if we need to in order to protect patients, other clinics or the service. Where we reasonably can, we will tell the clinic first and give it a chance to fix the problem.
  • When the service ends, the clinic can ask for an export of its information, and we then delete it as our Privacy Policy describes.

12. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent the law allows, TurnDesk is provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises beyond those made in these terms.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income or lost opportunities, arising from use of the service or from its being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We would always rather resolve a problem directly, so please write to us first at hello@turndesk.live.

14. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will also tell clinics directly before the change applies. Continuing to use TurnDesk after a change applies means the clinic accepts the updated terms.
